Full Time (40hrs/week)
Salary $50k Annually
We are hiring for the position of Distillery Assistant / Delivery Driver who will be responsible for helping with the day-to-day operations of our new production facility. In the role the right candidate will be involved in a wide variety of tasks including mashing, fermentation, packaging, cleaning and maintenance in the production facility. The delivery portion of the role will require loading the delivery van with product and delivering the orders to our customers throughout Alberta. A usual work week would entail 3 days in the distillery and 2 days driving the delivery van. This is an opportunity to work with the passionate team here at WLD, and produce world class spirits in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
What you will do …
- Work with our team in the production facility and be involved with the production of all WLD products
- Assist with milling, mashing and fermentation activities
- Assist with distillery maintenance and cleaning of production equipment and facilities
- Assist with inventory management and packaging of all WLD products
- Load the delivery van and execute weekly deliveries to our customers throughout Alberta
What you will bring to the Wild Life team …
- A good attitude and work ethic - this is a must
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A strong attention to detail and ability to plan daily tasks and work efficiently
- An ability to work efficiently alongside other team members and also excel while working independently
The fine print… The candidate must
- Maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with a clean record
- Have 3 years experience as a insured driver in Alberta
- 40 hrs/week minimum of work is expected to fulfill the duties of the job
- Be physically capable of working occasional 10+ hour days
- Be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong driving skills in all weather conditions and Canadian seasons
- Be comfortable getting in and out of a van/truck multiple times a day and parking safely in a variety of urban locations.
