Sales Account Manager

Calgary Sales Account Manager
On-premise & Independent retail
Full-time | Hybrid
Who we are
Wild Life Distillery is based in Canmore, Alberta, where prairie grain meets Rocky Mountain water.
We exist to relentlessly craft spirits that deepen mountain life and bring people together in these wild places. We are a craft distillery built on high standards: for our products, our relationships, and our work. We care about holding ourselves accountable, putting the team ahead of the person, and committed to constantly improving. We believe lifestyle matters, and that meaningful work should support a meaningful life, not replace it.
About the role
As the Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing Wild Life’s presence throughout the city. Focus for the role will be primarily spent in on-premise accounts. Success in this role doesn’t come from pushing product through short-term promotions or flashy signage - it comes from showing up consistently, building trust with accounts, and doing the work effectively over time.
You will have ownership of your territory, clear expectations, and the support of a collaborative sales team. As the business grows, this role will evolve, and we’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative, solving problems, and contributing beyond a fixed job description
In this role, success means:
-
Customers and account contacts trust you and genuinely want to work with you.
-
Wild Life is represented thoughtfully and consistently - behind the bar, on menus, and across retail partners.
-
Opportunities are followed through on and documented; nothing is left to memory or on handwritten notes that get lost along the way.
-
Relationships are built on honesty and integrity. This means keeping promises, showing up prepared, being present and engaged, remembering details, and approaching every interaction with genuine enthusiasm for both the account’s business and our own.
What you will do:
-
Own and grow a defined Calgary territory, focused primarily on on-premise accounts with select retail partners, to achieve monthly sales targets and activity goals.
-
Build long-term, trust-based relationships with bartenders, managers, buyers, and account teams.
-
Identify and pursue new account opportunities that align with the Wild Life brand and portfolio.
-
Create and maintain meaningful connections within the community, developing experiences that encourage consumers to discover, adopt, and live the Wild Life brand.
-
Support cocktail menu placements and ensure thoughtful, consistent brand execution.
-
Plan and execute tastings, education sessions, and activations that reflect Wild Life’s standards.
-
Represent Wild Life at trade and consumer events with professionalism and authenticity.
-
Maintain clear, accurate CRM notes and sales account plans.
-
Share regular territory updates and forward-looking plans with sales leadership.
-
Contribute as a reliable, accountable member of the Wild Life sales team, recognizing that responsibilities will evolve as the business grows.
Reporting Relationship: This role reports directly to the Alberta Sales Manager.

-
Put the team before ego - success is shared, not guarded.
-
Own it and figure it out - bring solutions, not just problems.
-
Maintain integrity when no one is watching - your standards don’t depend on supervision.
We value direct, honest communication and expect people to be human, open, and clear with one another.
